The reporters. [1988-07-30]

This program is a news magazine. Three segments. "Body and soul": reporter Steve Dunleavy interviews Mike Tyson, his wife Robin Givens, and others associated with the heavyweight fighter to discuss the financial problems that have arisen since Tyson's marriage to Givens and whether Tyson's manager, Bill Caten, was fair in his dealings in the contract Tyson signed with him. Includes a discussion on the role Robin's mother plays in the couple's lives and the belief of many that she is a "gold digger." The segment looks at his early life and career and the influence that growing up in poverty and amid ghetto violence has had on him and his desire to be a successful fighter. Tyson also answers the question of whether he is a homosexual. "Quest for liberty": reporter Krista Bradford helps a young Chinese American woman in her struggle with the I.N.S. to obtain a visa to study the clarinet at the Juilliard School of Music, then to remain in the U.S. upon graduation. In the investigative segment of the program, Steve Wilson investigates Clara Hines' claim that the American Integrity Insurance Company refused to refund her the balance of the premium she paid for her husband's health insurance policy when her husband unexpectedly died
