Lienekes Hefte
Jacob van der Hoeden, Agnès Desarthe, Edmund Jacoby (Traductor), Lieneke
Lieneke was six years old when World War II came to Holland. Two years later, the little Jewish girl was separated from her parents and hidden with strangers. In secret her father, the veterinarian Jacob van der Hoeden, sent her every month an illustrated booklet. The Van der Hoeden family survived the Holocaust and Lieneke kept the nine booklets. The French author Agnès Desarthe wrote a tenth booklet with a history of the booklets from Lieneke's perspective
