Papers of Jefferson Randolph Kean 1897-1950
Includes many items relating to Walter Reed and medical affairs during the Spanish-American War, in which Kean was deputy chief surgeon and superintendant of the Dept. of Charities in Cuba 1898-1902. Later items related to Kean's career as assistant to the U.S. Surgeon General, in work with the Red Cross, and as deputy chief surgeon of A.E.F. during European War.
