The first-ever joint exhibition of Manhattan's Metropolitan Museum of Art and the American Museum of Natural History is going along smoothly--until Assistant D.A. Alexandra Cooper is pulled aside by museum director Pierre Thibodaux. An ancient Egyptian sarcophagus, about to be shipped on loan to a foreign institution, has been opened. Inside lies not a mummified princess--but the very recently deceased scholar, Katrina Grooten. But who killed her ... and why?
