Typewritten copies of four letters concerning the situation in the Northwest at the close of the War of 1812. Most notable is a Feb. 26 letter from Lt. Col. Robert McDouall, commander of forces at Michilimackinac, to Captain Andrew Bulger at Fort McKay, commenting on Captain Thomas Anderson and Joseph Rolette. Other letters are from William Clark, William Russell, and Taylor Berry passing on to British officers news of the signing of a peace treaty
