The Getty Villa reimagined
Lecture by Jorge Silvetti, a principal of Machado & Silvetti Associates, Boston, architects of the remodeled Getty Villa in Malibu, California. He discusses the redesign process that led to the radical transformation of the Malibu Canyon site and the creation of facilities for public, scholarly, and educational programs at that site. The lecture details the changes and enhancements to the original buildings and reveals the ideas that inspired the architecture of the structures, including a personal account of the many years of work that helped create this new vision for the Getty Villa
