The Northwest Territories is known for the quality of its sport fisheries. This report was prepared with the following objectives in mind: 1) to describe the sport fisheries for Arctic grayling and northern pike in the Brabant Island-Beaver Lake area of the Mackenzie River; 2) to describe the biology of Arctic grayling and northern pike in this area; 3) to assess the effectiveness of the 356mm minimum size limit imposed in 1974 for grayling, and 4) to develop management strategies appropriate to the long-term viability of the trophy fishery for Arctic grayling and northern pike in the Brabant Island-Beaver Lake area.--Includes text from document
