Municipal and industrial (M & I) water use forecast, initial Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) update : final report

"This municipal and industrial (M & I) water use forecast is part of ongoing Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) planning effort and is intended to develop urban water demands to be addressed in the CERP. The water use sectors for which forecasts were developed include public and self-supply domestic (residential), commercial, industrial, government, and unaccounted-for water loss. Water use in agriculture, mining, and power generation were not included in this forecast. The purpose of the M & I water use forecast is to estimate existing water use and to develop water use projections for the Lower East Coast Service Area, the Northern Palm Beech County Service Are, and Sub-Areas 2-5 of the Lake Okeechobee Service Area (LOSA). M & I water use was previously forecast for the study area in 1996 and was presented in 'Municipal and industrial (M & I) water use forecast, Lake Okeechobee Regulation Schedule Study (LORSS)'. The water use forecasts generated in that study were the basis of the water use forecasts incorporated into the CERP."
