The ancestors of the Disney family that lived in Norton Isney, England went by the name De Isney. John Diesne married Katherine Leake. Their children were John, Edward, Richard, William and Thomas. William Disney was granted land in Ireland. He died there in 1667. His son William married Elizabeth Fowkes. Their children were William, Benjamine and Edenezer. Robert Disney, his wife Jane and sons Francia and Elias immigrated from Ireland to New York in 1834. They traveled with Elias Disney, his wife and child, Kepple. They traveled to Ontario, where other children were born to Robert and Jane: William Jane, Robert, Charles and Henry. Descendants lived in Saskatchewan, California, Michigan, Kansas and New York. One notable family was that headed by Elias Disney and Flora Call. Their children included Herbert, Raymond, Ruth, Roy and Walter Elias, who created Disneyland with his brother Roy
