Vocabulary list, dated Oct. 20, 1704, of terms in Cakchikel with their Spanish equivalents, compiled by Father Pantaleón de Guzmán of Santa María de Jesús in Sacatepéquez, Guatemala. The list is arranged in twelve sections, with each section containing nouns relating to a particular topic, such as the botany, zoology, or customs of the Cakchikel Indians. Topics include types of trees, edible and medicinal herbs, precious stones, flints, metals, planets, animals, snakes, fish, birds, illnesses, parts of the body, and common proverbs. There are also sections containing imperative and reflexive verb forms, family relationships, prayers and devotions, creeds, catechisms, religious songs, and riddles. The ms. concludes with a list of addenda and a table of contents
