Vector map level 2 (VMAP2)
Provides vector-based geospatial data at medium resolution. Data are presented in the following thematic layers consistent throughout VMap: boundaries, elevation, hydrography, industry, physiography, population, transportation, utilities, vegetation and data quality. Each layer contains thematically consistent data common to the theme. All data structured topologically. Data volume is tiled at normal one degree cells expanding in size towards the poles. A reference library provides a graphic orientation to the user
