Jesus and Paul after Auschwitz : a lecture

States that the Holocaust, more than anything else, calls Christians to revise their theological stance toward Judaism. In particular, Christianity must be viewed not as an antithesis to Judaism, but as its continuation; Jesus must be viewed not as a rebel against Jewish law, but as one of its interpreters; Paul must not be regarded as an anti-Judaic preacher, and his opponents are not necessarily the Jews. The teaching of contempt toward Judaism and the theology of supersession must be rejected by theologians as leading to such monstrous results as Auschwitz.
