Depicts struggles of three former leaders of Iwasaki-gumi which was terminated under Japanese new strict laws against yakuza groups in early Showa 40s. Kuroki, one of former leaders of Iwasaki-gumi, was in prison for engiht years. When he came out, he was asked to lead Iwasaki-gumi, the business of loading and unloading at the port. He is exposed to a very hostile environment with the government as well as other former leaders and current workers
