The mayhaus in Frankfurt's Römerstadt is the only residential building in the style of the Neues Frankfurt of the 1920s that has been completely restored. The book explains the functions of the model small house (88 square meters) using current photographs and historical plans. This work progresses from consideration of the city, to the neighborhood, to the street, to the individual home (now museum, the "mayhaus"), including the famous Frankfurt kitchen. The authors address both architectural history and socio-cultural factors
