Report of project approved by Arctic Council under Sustainable Development Programme. Examines role of whole family in reindeer husbandry. Studies wild reindeer/caribou populations as well those who hunt. Reveals major challenges facing herding and hunting economies. Report is based on several fieldtrips and interviews with reindeer owners, herders, hunters, family members and researchers in all Arctic countries which have reindeer herds. Includes recommendations made to Arctic Council
