Lin Yun the beautiful daughter of a very wealthy philanthropist, is compelled by her unconventional father to go to the Lantern Festival Fair to choose her own husband. In fear of scandal she goes to the fair disguised as a youth with her maid Orchid dressed as her page. When her aged major-domo brings back a vagabond instead of the poor but handsome scholar she had chosen, Orchid goes to the fair again to find the student and arrange a meeting for her mistress. Complications ensue
