Frances Elizabeth Dohme was born in 1898 in Baltimore, Maryland. Her parents were Alfred Robert Louis Dohme (b. 1867) and Emmie Blumner (1871-1908). She married Edmund Fairchild in 1920 and they had three children. They were divorced and Frances married John Graff Cockey in 1949.
