The life of Yolanda of Vianden ; The life of Margaret of Luxembourg ; Genealogy of the Ancient Counts of Vianden : Antwerp, 1674 = Das Leben der Yolanda von Vianden ; Das Leben der Margarete von Luxemburg ; Genealogie der ehemaligen Grafen von Vianden : Antwerpen, 1674
"The life of Countess Yolanda of Vianden (1231-1283) and her struggle to become a Dominican nun was first recounted around 1293 in medieval German verse by Brother Herman ... Brother Herman's account was put into codex form and kept at Mariental, where in 1655 it was copied out by hand by the Luxembourg scholar and antiquary, Father Alexander Wiltheim S.J. (1604-84), on 54 leaves of folio-sized paper. The facing sides of the first 32 of these contained an exact translation by Wiltheim into Latin verse of the original medieval German ... Wiltheim then used this copy as the basis for recasting and expanding the story, which he published in Latin at Antwerp in 1674. It is this version of 1674, together with its appendix and genealogy, that is presented here, alongside parallel English and German translations."--Introduction, p. ii
