The bush food handbook : how to gather, grow, process & cook Australian wild foods
Abstract: This book is a guide to a range of Australian bush foods. The species and processes described are those used by the Aborigines who knew or still use these foods as their local resources; in addition some examples are presented of the comtemporary use of bush food in a non-Aboriginal Australian cuisine. Suggestions are made as to which species to plant in various areas of Australia and as to a few essential plants for a herbal medicine chest. The information presented is designed to be a key to unl ock some of the ways to learn more about bush resources. Recipes are included
