Pp. 205-237, "Les ennemis désignés: Juifs", deal with anti-Jewish propaganda. Discusses racist legislation enacted according to the slogan "France for French people", underlining that this legislation was not a result of German pressure. Traces the figure of the author of the statute of the Jews, Raphaël Alibert. Surveys the methods of anti-Jewish propaganda and its main themes as they appeared in pamphlets, the press, posters, and in the exposition "Le Juif et la France". Describes activities of the institutions dealing with the "Jewish question" (e.g. the Commissariat General aux Questions Juives and the Institut d'Etude des Questions Juives, both acting in collaboration with the Nazis).
