The Tenth (Irish) Division in Gallipoli

The Tenth Division was the first raised and sent to the Front by Ireland-- and the first division of Irishmen in the British Army. Made up entirely of men who had no previous military experience, the Division took part in some of hte bloodiest episodes of the War-- at Sulva Bay and Anzac Cove. Unionist and Nationalist, Catholic and Protestant, lived, fought and died side by side like brothers
