War memoirs of a Polish woman who lived in Warsaw in a house close to the ghetto wall. Deals with her own and her family's life during the war, and with the fate of the Jews in the ghetto. Describes the ghetto uprising as seen by the inhabitants of the house, 6 Muranowska Street, and its role in the uprising. A tunnel was dug from the ghetto to the basement of the building, and a number of Jews were hidden in this house.
