Cephalopod behaviour
Cuttlefishes, squids, octopuses and the chambered nautiluses live throughout the seas of the world. These species of cephalopods (totaling about 700) are considered to be the most highly evolved marine invertebrates. They possess elaborate sense organs, large brains, and complex behavior. Hanlon and Messenger summarize field and laboratory data to stimulate more biologists to study these fascinating animals
