The 1989 edition of the "Gazetteer of Planetary Nomenclature" lists 1,586 lunar features that bear the names of historical individuals. This books gives biographical background on those individuals and the location of the feature named after them. Also included are lists of women honorees, honorees by profession, honorees by country, features by location and features by size
