The evil eye. Episode no. 1, Below the deadline
David Druce, president of the banking house of David Druce & Co., reads distrubing headlines about a plot to steal millions of dollars in bonds. He consults with Denton Drake, his cousin and associate partner, and informs him that an evil master mind, known as "The Evil Eye," is behind the series of robberies of bank messengers. "The Evil Eye" plots with a group of his men, who pretend to be blind. Druce assigns a delivery of one million dollars in bonds to Frank Armstrong, his most reliable messenger. Marcia Lamar, Drake's fiancee, drops by to see Drake. The thieves take up their positions around the bank. Drake signals to Holy Joe to warn all the other men to prepare for action. Dora, Druce's daughter, visits her father and meets Armstrong, who is smitten with her. Armstrong leaves the bank with two bodyguards
