Anii treizeci : extrema dreaptă românească

Z. Ornea
A detailed examination of the ideology of the Romanian extreme-right, based mainly on the Romanian press of the 1930s. Focuses on the fascist doctrine of the Iron Guard, expressed by its leader C.Z. Codreanu, and ideologically supported by the prominent intellectuals Nae Ionescu, N. Crainic, and the "young generation" represented by M. Eliade, E. Cioran, C. Noica and others. Ch. 6 (pp. 387-420), "Problema evreiască", discusses the antisemitic ideas of the right-wing intellectuals, mentioning also N. Ionescu's theological antisemitism expressed in his preface to M. Sebastian's novel "For Two Thousand Years" (1934). (From the Bibliography of the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism)
