The Daily nation : a documentary about a Kenyan newspaper
The Daily nation is East Africa's largest and most modern newspaper and Kenya's only independent source of information. In this still-developing nation, corruption is a force felt everywhere. In spite of this, the newspaper struggles to maintain its independence. Its committed staff, from editors and journalists to paper-folders and vendors, provide the Kenyan people with stories that make an impact on their life and remind them of the value of an independent press. Peterson the Masai-warrior-turned-sales-agent summarily concludes: "It's all about human interest ... a lady and her dog ... and a white man."
