Isabel Burgess collection, 1900-1999

This collection documents Isabel Burgess's personal and public life which includes her association with the Episcopal Church, awards, friends, travels, biographical files, an oral history of her time with the Heard Museum in Phoenix and her work within the NTSB. She was well-connected socially and politically as is evident in the personal and NTSB correspondence with such prominent individuals as Barry Goldwater and Sandra Day O'Connor. Burgess maintained contact with numerous federal officials and Washington DC colleagues long after her tenure in public service
