Drawing our worlds together : an overview of the Young Person's Cultural Exchange Program and a gallery of artwork from the exhibits

"Over a one-year period from July 1994 to July 1995, staff from arts and education programs in three culturally defined and relatively isolated sites worked with young people to produce a body of work inspired by themes selected to demonstrate how culture shows itself in people's lives. Each of the sites--Mississipi Cultural Crossroads (MCC): Port Gibson, Mississippii; Old Pascua Youth Artists (OPYA): Tucson, Arizona; and Weybridge Elementary School (WES): Weybridge, Vermont-- brought notable experience using the arts to work with young people, primarily African American in Mississippi, Native American in Arizona, and rural White in Vermont."--Page 9
