Catalysis of organic reactions
In these proceedings of the March 2004 conference, participants offer reviews of their research in catalysis as related to organic synthesis with special emphasis on processes with actual or potential applications in industry. Papers on catalytic hydrogenation includes topics such as the hydrogenation of Raney-type catalysts, anchored and supported hydrogenation catalysts, and the hydrogenation of substrates and renewable resources. The section on the conference's symposium on novel concepts and approaches to catalysis of organic reactions includes papers on combinatorial and parallel methods in catalyst design, and optimization and utilization, while the symposium on catalysts in organic synthesis yields papers on deprotection reactions and asymmetric catalysis.
