Palabra de artista : textos sobre arte argentino, 1961-1981
A collection of texts written by artists between 1961 and 1981 about the creativity process, languages, techniques and modalities of production, their concerns about the artistic system and the crisis of values of the 1970's, ideas, criteria, and representation organized in 5 main axes. The selection of the documents followed the criteria of "words from artists" instead of "books by artists" comprising reflections, proposals, declarations in catalogues, newspaper articles, manuscripts, dialogues between colleagues or interviews that recuperate projects, successes and ultimately, a sense of the time period: 1961, the year the "new figuration" and the provocative "Destructive Art" movement started spanning to 1981 with the emergence of avant-garde movement of "Arte joven" (Young art) strongly influenced by the censorship of the dictatorship repression and the revolutionary movements
