Gift of life

Memoirs of a Jew, born in Antwerp, Belgium, in 1927; pp. 13-52 relate his experiences in the Holocaust. In 1930 his family returned to Poland. During the war Landwirth was interned in the Kraków ghetto and went through several Nazi camps, including Auschwitz and Mauthausen. His parents perished, but his twin sister Margot survived. After the war Landwirth settled in the USA, where he worked at NASA and converted to Catholicism. (From the Bibliography of the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism)
