Book tells the story of the construction of the Palm Springs Tramway. James Donald "Don" Landells was the helicopter pilot and photographer that documented this construction. The photographs are presented in the order of construction: sling loads from the Palm Springs Airport, moving the base operations to Chino Canyon, rock and sand hauling, the building of the landing pads and scaffolds, the towers in their various stages, the Mountain Terminus and the evolution of the Mountain Station, and the placement of the specially designed power poles.
