Van Winkle--Martin--Barkley family Bible records, 1746-1928

Jacob Van Winkle (d. 1779) and his wife, Martha (1749-1831), were married in 1768. They had four children 1769-1775 [in New York City]. Martha Van Winkle married 2) Josiah Martin (1749-1818) in 1779. They had two daughters, 1782-1786 [in New York City]. Their daughter, Deborah Martin (1786-1830), marrie Isaac Merrick Griffith (1775-1804) in 1799. They had a daughter born in 1803. Deborah married 2) Jame Barkely (1767-1829) [a native of Somerset County, New Jersey] in 1805. They had nine children, 1808-1828. Descendants listed lived in New York, California and New Jersey. Information in brackets supplied by Mr. Richardson. His letter gives further information about the Barkely family and Mary Barkley Agnew, who married James Agnew in 1833, and her family
