Structural styles in the southern Midcontinent, 1992 symposium : proceedings of a symposium held March 31 - April 1, 1992, in Norman, Oklahoma

Research reported upon at the symposium focused on structural geology, tectonic evolution, petroleum reservoirs in various structural settings, development of oil and gas resources, geophysics, and neotectonics. In describing the various structural styles and related petroleum reservoirs in the southern Midcontinent, the researchers have increased our understanding of how the tectonic history of an area can affect reservoir heterogeneity and our ability to efficiently recover the hydrocarbons they contain. We hope that the symposium and these proceedings will bring such research to the attention of the geoscience and energy-research community, and will help foster exchange of information and increased research interest among industry, university, and government workers
