Нарушин В.Г.; Романов М.Н.; Богатырь В.П. One of the problems of contemporary poultry production industry is the possibility of male and female eggs differentiation keeping them intact. This occurs because the majority of the poultry stocks in the world is laying hands. To produce table eggs they don’t need males help. In parent stocks only one male for 8…10 hens may be used. But the ration of males to females after hatching is 1:1. Therefore, to produce table eggs it is necessary to have twice as much hatcheries, energy supply, service staff, etc. To feed males of the laying stocks for meat production is also unprofitable. Their feed conversion is higher than females one. Besides this meat of fowls of many laying stocks is not fit for meal. In practice, in many countries the day-old cockerels are killed. Thus, besides the economic aspect of the problem the ethic one appears… Conclusions: The ratio of the density, Dt, of egg interior to the specificity gravity, D, of the whole egg is correlated with the sex of a future chick. When the eggs for completing the flock of laying hens are incubated rejecting of eggs whose ration Dt:D is less than 0.94 is economically profitable
