An account is given of investigations on the loci for colour (C), pigment extension (Sp), neck stripe (Ns), buff dilution (G), blue dilution (Sd), white breast patch (Wb), knob on bill (Kb) and Sebastopol or curled feathers (L) in 22 goose breeds in Ukraine and Russia. Details are also given of the development of autosexing, synthetic breeds, sex-linked crosses and of an electrophoretic study on albumen proteins in Large Grey geese.
