BmoreArt Journal of Art + Ideas
Cara Ober (Editor, Publisher), Bret McCabe, Rebecca Juiette
Cara Ober started Bmoreart in 2007, after realizing that Baltimore's artists had no comprehensive source of information for visual art events and openings. What began as a side project has grown to include critical reviews, discussion, interviews, and opinion pieces produced by a team of writers and critics. The Print Issue: This new magazine is full color, 64 pages, and features original content created exclusively for print. The new publication includes art folios, written articles, and hybrid formats, the result of collaborations between artists and writers. The first BmoreArt publication presents artists, arts administrators, curators, photographers, illustrators, designers, architecture, craft, community arts, and a regional guide of arts resources and organizations. Posed to a variety of contributing writers, photographers, and visual artists, these questions have yielded a rich and diverse conversation about what it means to live, work, and create plans for the future in Baltimore. - from journal website
