Iron Range ghost locations
"Mining Locations-they were called Black and Franklin, Mesabi and Belgrade, Bangor and Cooley, Hanna and Leetonia, et.al. They were homes to immigrant miners and their families, living a hardscrabble existence within walking distance of the underground shafts and the open pits of the iron mines. The mining locations are mostly gone now. In time, the people would have to vacate to make way for the mines, their reason for existing."--Page 3
