Lewis Tacquett was born in France and later emigrated to the United States, eventually settling in Stafford County, Virginia. He married Mary Sarah Spiller, the daughter of William Spiller. The couple had several children: Lewis Jr., John, Rachel, and William. Lewis Tacquett passed away in 1744
