Circa 1996-2016: and a celebration of forty years
"This volume is intended as a companion to Circa 1976-1996 and celebrates the amazing productions that we have seen on our stages since 1996. With over 500 individual titles produced since then it would be impossible to fully list each one, so, echoing the first volume, we only fully list Circa and Theatre Artist Charitable Trust (TACT) productions. In recent years Circa has been lucky to co-produce works with numerous production companies, allowing more of Aotearoa's stories to be shared on our stages and enjoyed by own audiences. We have opened our home to Taki Rua, Tawata, Armstrong Creative, Show Pony, Tikapa, Willow Productions, Trick of the Light, My Accomplice and Theatre Beating, to name but a few. Circa is also delighted to have been the home base for groups such as The Improvisors (celebrating twenty-five years in 2015), Hens' Teeth and The Beatgirls (celebrating twenty years in 2016). ..Also included in this volume are articles that explain how Circa works, what is important to us and where our future lies." -- Preface
