This paper examined the church growth theory and world mission of Pastor Yonggi Cho with an emphasis on mission in Japan. Pastor Yonggi Cho is serving as a pastor at Yoido Full Gospel Church which is the world's largest church. He is being studied in Korea and abroad by gaining worldwide attention as a role model for church growth. As the author engaged in mission acts in the world and Japan with Pastor Cho for more than thirty years, he was able to witness Pastor Cho's ministry from the closest distance. This paper can be considered as an academic investigation of Pastor Cho's church growth, world mission, and mission viewed from the shortest distance. --From abstract
