COSTA RICA Y LA FEDERACION CENTROAMERICANA FUNDAMENTOS HISTORICOS DEL AISLACIONISMO
The article's purpose is to provide an explanation to the separateness of Costa Rica in relation to the Central American integration. The author believes the origin of this attitude to be in the "independence" Costa Rica had during the Colonial Period from Guatemala -which centralized Spanish power in Central America- due to its lack of communication with this capital. El artículo pretende brindar una explicación de la actitud aislacionista de Costa Rica en relación con la integración centroamericana. El autor encuentra la causa en la "independencia" gozada por Costa Rica durante la época colonial; debido a su incomunicación con respecto a Guatemala, sede del poder espaǹol en Centroamérica
