Large deflection of laminated circular plates with clamped edge and uniform loading

An analytical nonlinear elasticity theory was developed and used to predict large deflection of laminated circular plates with clamped boundaries. For comparison purposes, numerical solutions were obtained with a finite element software, ANSYS. Experiments were carried out using a fibre optical displacement sensor to validate the theory. Results from these three approaches show agreement
