The Overland Kid : a western trio
This trio of short novels takes its title from the continuing adventures of Reata, one of Max Brand's most popular characters, who is on the run with three pack horses loaded with gold. Pop Dickerman - from whom he got the stolen gold - has set three men on Reata's trail, and a sheriff's posse is hunting him down for the robbery. Lawman Babe Rourke is known far and wide for his skill with fists and firearms, and Angus Cairn has called out to challenge that reputation.
