The Soviet Far East in antiquity : an archaeological and historical study of the Maritime Region of the U.S.S.R.
Presents overview of history of region from Neolithic times to medieval times. Highlights complexity of influences and relatively high culture of region in historical times. In describing medieval times, author correlates own archaeological evidence with Chinese and Japanese sources, as well as data from modern ethnography. (Primor'ye).
