Pagen in der Traumfabrik : schwarze Komparsen im deutschen Spielfilm : ein Film
Tells the story of Black German extras in German films from 1919-1942. Using a combination of footage from movies, such as Austernprinzessin, as well as interviews with some of the surviving actors, this film illustrates the racist and colonial views of the German filmamkers and the Nazi propaganda machine. The actors describe both their film experience and the racism they felt in their day-to-day lives. The film also touches on the fact that many of the Black extras died in concentration camps
