Lecciones de elementos y teoría de la arquitectura

Ricardo de Jaxa Malachowski Kulisicz (Ryszard Jaxa-Malachowski Kulisicz, b Odessa, Ukraine 1887-d. Peru 1972) was a Polish architect who arrived in Peru in 1911 to work in the architectural works in commemoration of the Centennial celebrations. In 1912 he started his academic career in the Escuela de Ingenieros (now Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería) and in 1914 he gets married in Lima where he would stay for the rest of his life. This publication is the reprint of his teaching material for the course of Elementos y Teoría de la Arquitectura (Elements and Theory of Architecture) dictated in the section of Arquitectos Constructores of the Escuela Nacional de Ingenieros by architect Malachowski between 1915 and 1944. The edition consists of 141 sketches drawn by the architect, and was first published as a photocopy edition in 1944. A major historical document of the origin of French academicism in Peru
