Along a dark path
Susan Sayre is young and lovely but tormented by a past she cannot remember. Her first seven years are a blank. Something happened to her as a child, but what? Does it have something to do with the beautiful dead mother she can't recall? Seeking answers, Susan retuns to the Tate mansion whre she grew up. Evasive servants and contemptuous relatives bring her to despair. When a handsome young man offers to help her end her quest if she puts herself completely in his power, she agrees.
