Autobiography 1895

Recounts his early life in Maine, move west, visit to Carthage and Nauvoo, Illinois in 1845, and conversion to the Church through the influence of his aunt, Patty Bartlett Sessions. Also tells of his association with Heber C. Kimball, his experiences in Nauvoo as a school teacher, which included teaching the children of Emma Smith, and his experiences during the Battle of Nauvoo in 1846. Also recounts his experiences in Iowa, emigration to Utah in 1853, and 1854 mission to Maine and activities in Salt Lake City after his return
